Sent a Thnks? Here’s everything you need to know about what happens next... from deliverability to recipient's options

Once your Thnks is sent, you can monitor the activity from your dashboard. When a recipient opens – or doesn’t open – your Thnks item can tell you a lot about your relationship. So, we recommend monitoring a Thnks after you send it.

Your Recipient’s Options

When you send a Thnks, your recipient will have the option to accept it, re-give it, or donate the value to a charity of their choice.

Accepting a Thnks item is seamless for your recipient. There’s no need to download the app or create a Thnks account – they can simply click a link in their email or SMS. Once they accept their Thnks, they can use it anytime. A Thnks item never expires!

💡 If you sent a physical Thnks, your recipient will be prompted to provide their preferred shipping address. The vendor will send tracking information, and the Thnks will be delivered in 5-7 business days.

What to do if your Thnks is undeliverable

If the email address you have for a recipient is invalid or the email is rejected by the recipient's server, it will automatically expire.

You'll receive a refund as a reversal, and we’ll send you an email notification letting you know what happened. If you happen to track down the correct email address, you'll need to send a new Thnks to that recipient.

What to do if a recipient doesn’t open their Thnks

Don’t worry about forgotten Thnks – we got you! We'll send your recipient three friendly reminders about their unopened Thnks after 1, 15, and 25 days of receipt. If your recipient doesn’t open their Thnks after 30 days, you'll automatically get a refund.

Resending your Thnks

Our templates and reminders are designed to avoid spam filters. But, if your Thnks remains unopened and you’re worried it got “stuck” – you can choose to send it another way. Here's how:

  1. Go to Track > Sent

  2. Select the Thnks you want to resend

  3. Click "Email me Thnks link"

We'll send you an email with a direct link that you can share with your recipient via email, text, LinkedIn, or any other way you prefer!

Canceling a Thnks

If you have mistakenly sent a Thnks or need to request a refund for another reason, please reach out to support@thnks.com or start a live chat. Include the transaction information for the Thnks item you’d like to discuss. We’re here to help!
