Thnks Integrations to Optimize Your Workflow

Updated this week

Thnks connects with the tools you already use – like Gmail, Salesforce, and SAP Concur – so appreciation becomes part of how you work. Whether you’re sending a gesture or managing the details behind it, integrations help make the process fast, easy, and seamless.

⚡ We're always working to improve your Thnks experience. If there's an integration you'd like to see, let us know. We’d love to hear what you need.

Download the Chrome Extension

The Thnks Chrome Extension lets you send gratitude directly from Gmail or Salesforce… no need to open a new tab or interrupt your workflow.

Install the Chrome Extension:

  1. Visit the Thnks Chrome Extension page on the Chrome Web Store and click “Add to Chrome”

  2. Click the Thnks icon in the top right corner of your Chrome browser and log in to your Thnks account

💡 Don’t see the icon? Try logging out and back into your Google account, then refresh your browser.

Send a Thnks directly from Gmail

With the Chrome Extension, you can send a Thnks without ever leaving your inbox.

  1. Start a new email and enter your recipient’s email address (Note: the extension supports one recipient at a time)

  2. Click the Thnks icon to the right of the Search Mail bar

  3. The Thnks panel will appear on the right side of your screen. You can browse categories or use the search bar to find something specific

  4. Select a Thnks, confirm your payment details, and click “Purchase”

  5. The Thnks you’ve selected will be embedded into the body of your email; add your message as usual and send it off!

⚡ Thnks sent via the Chrome Extension are marked as opened immediately after sending. You’ll still get real-time updates when the recipient redeems their Thnks.

Integrating with Salesforce via the Thnks Salesforce AppExchange App (Enterprise and Enterprise+)

Enterprise and Enterprise+ accounts can use the Thnks Salesforce AppExchange app to send a Thnks directly from Salesforce, and capture your company’s Thnks activity. This provides you with comprehensive integration between Thnks and your Salesforce Leads, Contacts, and Opportunities.

💡 Your Thnks email address must match your Salesforce email address in order to enable integration.

To enable integration:

  1. Contact your Thnks Account Manager or email integrations@thnks.com to get your Organization Token and let them know which of the following connection methods you’d like to enable:

    • User connection: each individual user enables their own Thnks Salesforce connection

    • Org connection: admin manages connection for all users

  2. Navigate to the Thnks AppExchange listing and click “Get It Now." Note: You’ll have the option to install for Admins Only, or for Specific Profiles, but we recommend Admins Only for initial setup, and configuring access levels later.

  3. In Salesforce, navigate to “App Launcher” and search for Thnks; then, select "Manage Thnks Settings”

  4. Navigate to the “Send Thnks” tab and enter your Organization Token in the “Thnks Organization Token” field

Once connected, all Thnks activity will be logged in Salesforce automatically:

  • Each Thnks you send will appear as a past task on the contact’s record

  • A note will include the recipient’s email address

  • If a contact doesn’t already exist, Salesforce will create one for you

Automating Thnks via Salesforce

Some moments call for gratitude again and again… like when a deal closes, a lead progresses, or a partnership hits a milestone. With Salesforce automation, you can make sure your appreciation shows up right on time.

Thnks can be seamlessly integrated into your Salesforce workflow by setting up automated sends based on key triggers. For example, you can set up automation to send a Thnks when a lead progresses from 'Prospect' to 'Qualification' or when an opportunity moves from ‘Negotiation’ to 'Closed Won'.

To set up these automations, contact Thnks support.

Send a Thnks via Salesforce

To send a Thnks directly through Salesforce, start by adding the Send a Thnks component to Lightning Pages:

  1. Navigate to “Setup” and select “Object Manager”

  2. Select “Contact,” “Account,” or “Opportunity”

  3. Go to Lightning Record Pages

  4. Edit the relevant page layout

Then, in Lightning App Builder:

  1. Drag the “Send Thnks” component to your desired location

  2. Configure component settings as needed

  3. Save and Activate the page

💡 You can repeat these steps for all object types where you want to add the ‘Send Thnks’ functionality.

Once you’ve added the component:

  1. Open Salesforce and navigate to the desired record from the Contacts, Account, or Opportunity pages

  2. Click the “Send a Thnks” button from the record

  3. A pop-up window will appear on the next page and your recipient’s name and contact information will auto-populate from Salesforce

  4. From the pop-up window, choose a Thnks and add a personal message

  5. Press send and your Thnks is on its way! Salesforce will automatically create a Thnks record of your gesture with tracking

Integrate with SAP Concur

Enterprise and Enterprise+ users can link Thnks to SAP Concur to automatically sync e‑receipts, making expense tracking easier and more accurate. Here’s how:

  1. Go to your Thnks profile by clicking your initials in the top right corner

  2. Select “Connected Accounts” at the bottom of the page

  3. If you see “SAP Concur” as an option, select “Connect account,” and a window will open where you can log in to SAP Concur. If you're already signed in to SAP Concur, this step may happen automatically

  4. If “SAP Concur” is not listed as an option, reach out to your admin or Account Manager to enable the feature

Once connected, an e‑receipt will be sent to SAP Concur automatically each time you send a Thnks.
