Connecting your contacts
Before you start sending, connect your contacts for a faster workflow.
The Thnks mobile app lets you sync contacts from your phone and/or email account, so you can quickly find recipients without typing or pasting their information. This step is optional, but it streamlines the process... especially when you're sending on the go.
To connect an account on the Thnks mobile app:
Navigate to the “Contacts” tab
Click “Connect Your Contacts” or click on the “+” icon in the top right corner
Choose how you want to connect your contacts, then click the “+” icon
Depending on your choice, you’ll be prompted to grant permissions
If you’d like to connect another account, click “Connect Mailbox.” Otherwise, click “Finish”
Sending a Thnks from the Mobile App
Ready to send? With the mobile app, you can send via email or SMS.
Sending via email
From the “Send” tab, choose the gesture you’d like to send
Input your recipient's email address in the search bar, or begin typing to find a recipient from your connected contacts, and click “Next”
💡 Add multiple email addresses or select multiple contacts from a connected account to send a Thnks to more than one recipient.
Write a short, personalized message
💡 If you're sending to multiple recipients and want to customize each message, toggle "Multiple Messages" on the "Write a Message" screen.
Confirm your gesture and message in the email preview and press “Next”
Review the details, add payment information if needed, and click “Send”
Sending via SMS
To send Thnks via text message, you’ll need to request access first. Just tap the SMS tab under Contacts in the app, and follow the prompt to reach out to the Thnks team. Once SMS sending is enabled for your account, follow these steps:
Choose your Thnks, make any customizations necessary, and click “Select this Thnks”
From “Choose Contacts,” toggle to SMS enter your recipient’s phone number
💡 If you’ve connected your phone contacts, just start typing their name and select it when it appears.
Verify their phone number and press continue. If it’s your first time sending a Thnks via text, you may be prompted to verify your phone number
Write a short message, confirm the details from the email preview, and press "Next"
Choose a payment method and press “Send”
Your phone will immediately open up a text containing your Thnks and message – make any final edits if needed, and send! Your recipient can click the link in the text to redeem your gesture and respond directly back to you in the thread.
