Awesome, someone sent you a Thnks! What’s next?
You have a few options after receiving a Thnks – you can redeem it, donate the value to charity, or re-give your Thnks to another recipient. Keep reading to learn more about each option.

💡 If a Thnks isn’t opened within 30 days, it will expire and the value will be refunded to the sender. Look out for notifications and reminders!
Option 1: Redeeming a Thnks
It’s easy to redeem your Thnks. You don’t need a Thnks account, the Thnks app, or any particular device to receive your item. Start by simply clicking “Accept” in the email or SMS you received.
How you receive your Thnks will depend on the type of item you accept. Some Thnks will be delivered digitally, while others will be delivered to the address of your choice.
Redeeming a Digital Thnks
For Thnks gestures that are delivered digitally, you’ll receive a voucher, bar code, or something similar.
Depending on the Thnks and the sender’s preferences, the sender selects a value, and either chooses where the code can be applied or passes that choice along to you.
For example, if you receive the “Allergy Relief” Thnks, you may have the option to choose which pharmacy or store to pick up allergy medicine. After you redeem your Thnks, you’ll be able to pay digitally anytime.
To redeem a Digital Thnks:
Accept the Thnks
Select and confirm your preferred vendor, if available
Save the code or use another available option, such as adding it to your mobile wallet
Use your voucher any time!
Once you accept it, your Thnks never expires! You can use your redemption code right away or save it to use in the future. Just be sure that you only accept a Thnks you intend to use – you can’t donate or re-give a Thnks once you accept it.
Redeeming a Physical Thnks
Senders might choose to send more traditional items, such as curated boxes or spirits. Rather than receiving a digital code, these items are sent right to your doorstep. You’ll choose what address you’d like the Thnks to be delivered to, and receive shipping details and updates directly from the carrier.

To redeem the physical Thnks:
Accept the Thnks and select “Send me the Item”
Provide your shipping address and other necessary information
Look out for a shipping confirmation email from the carrier
Your Thnks should arrive within 5-7 business days!
Redeeming an Amazon Thnks
If you received an Amazon Thnks you’d like to redeem, you may have the option to accept the physical item gifted to you, or convert the value of the Thnks to an Amazon credit.
To redeem the original item through Amazon:
Accept the Thnks and select “Send me the Item”
Provide your shipping address and other necessary information
Make sure you see the “Order Confirmed” status after submitting
Look out for a Thnks redemption confirmation and Amazon shipping confirmation email
💡 If the item is out of stock when you go to redeem your Thnks, you can opt to receive Amazon credit instead.
To redeem for Amazon credit, if available:
Accept the Thnks and select “Convert to Amazon Credit”
Once you’re directed to the next page, grab your Amazon credit code
Follow the instructions on the page to apply the code to your Amazon account, and you’re good to go!
Option 2: Donating your Thnks
If you'd prefer to pay it forward, you have the option to donate the value of your Thnks. We’ve partnered with Charity Navigator to give you the ability to donate to causes across the US!
💡 Remember, once you “Accept” your Thnks, you cannot go back and donate it. Take a moment to decide whether you’d like to redeem your item or donate the value.
To donate the value of your Thnks:
Click the “Give the value to charity” below the “Accept” button in your Thnks message
Press “Donate” on the next page, which will redirect you to Charity Navigator
Then, select which cause you’d like to donate to. You can choose from the “Popular Causes” or search for a specific organization
Confirm the organization and location you want to donate to
Click “give,” add any optional information, and select “donate”
Option 3: Re-giving your Thnks
If you want to pass along the kindness to someone else in your network, you have the option to re-give the Thnks you received.
💡 For re-giving, you'll need a Thnks account using the same email address where you received the Thnks. If you haven’t already, create an account with that email address before beginning the process to re-give your Thnks.
To re-give an item:
On your dashboard, navigate to Track, then toggle to Received
Select the Thnks and press “Re-give”
Enter your recipient’s information, write your message, press send, and your Thnks is on its way!
