What are Private Thnks?

A: A Private Thnks is a recipient transaction that only you can see in the feed. If marked as private, none of its related events (send, open, redeem, reply) are visible to other team members.

How do I mark a Thnks as private?

A: On the Confirmation screen (or Re-giving screen), there’s a checkbox labeled “Do not show this Thnks to my teammates”. By default, it’s unchecked (meaning the Thnks is public). If you check it, all recipient transactions in that sending are private.

Can I change a Thnks from public to private after sending it?

A: Yes. You can click the three-dots icon on any event related to your Thnks and choose “Do not show this Thnks to my teammates.” All related events become hidden from teammates, even if they were previously visible.

What if I want to make a private Thnks public again?

A: Use the same three-dots icon and choose “Show this Thnks to my teammates.” The Thnks and its events will be visible again.

Does private status affect the user’s own feed?

A: No. Even if a Thnks is private, you will still see it in your feed (marked with a "Hidden" label).

What does it mean to opt out entirely?

A: Opting out (via Profile > Keep my activity private) means all your Thnks-related events—past, present, and future—are hidden from teammates. You also won’t see the privacy checkboxes on the Confirmation screen.

Can I opt back in?

A: Yes. If you turn off “Keep my activity private,” future events will be shown to teammates. Any events you had previously set to private before opting out remain private (their privacy status persists).

If I opt out, will I still see other people’s activity?

A: Yes. Opting out only hides your activities from others; you can still view the feed (if it’s enabled for your team) and see other teammates’ public events.
